Privacy
Last updated 27 June 2026
This policy covers the Kaesehagen IT website and the apps we make, including MyOffsider. Kaesehagen IT is the software arm of Kaesehagen & Co Pty Ltd (ABN 49 646 983 922), Australia.
Our approach
We don't run accounts of our own, we don't track you, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data. When MyOffsider connects to another service, whether that's Apple Health on your phone or your own Google or Fitbit account, it is only to bring your own data to you. None of it flows to us.
MyOffsider and your health data
MyOffsider can read your health information (such as steps, sleep, and heart rate) from two places, and only with your permission:
- Apple Health. MyOffsider reads this on your device, and only the data types you explicitly allow. You can change or withdraw it at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.
- Fitbit, through your Google account (optional). If you've moved off Fitbit, you can connect your Google account so MyOffsider can bring your Fitbit history across from Google Health. You sign in on Google's own secure screen; we never see or store your password. This connection makes requests over the internet to Google's servers to retrieve your data.
Whichever source you use, the data MyOffsider retrieves is stored on your device. It is not sent to Kaesehagen IT, and we do not run any server that receives your health data. The sign-in tokens for the Google connection are kept securely on your device (in the iOS keychain) and are used only to fetch your data.
The only other thing that leaves your device is the food name you type when you search the food database. That search is sent to Open Food Facts (a free, open food database) to return nutrition results; no health data, and nothing that identifies you, is included.
We never use your health data for advertising or marketing, and we never share it with third parties.
This website
The Kaesehagen IT website is a static site. It does not use tracking cookies or analytics, and the fonts are served from our own server rather than a third party.
If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are sent to us by email so we can reply. They are handled on our own hosting, are not passed to any third-party form service, and are used only to respond to your enquiry.
Managing and deleting your data
You stay in control of both connections at any time:
- Apple Health: turn off MyOffsider's access in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Health.
- Google and Fitbit: disconnect inside MyOffsider, and you can also revoke its access in your Google Account under Security → your connections to third-party apps. Disconnecting deletes the stored sign-in tokens from your device.
- Everything: deleting the app removes the data and the food log it stored on your device.
