MyOffsider — common questions
- How do I connect my data?
- MyOffsider can pull your health data from two places, and you can use either or both. It reads Apple Health on your iPhone (allow the data types you'd like to see, steps, sleep, heart rate and so on), and if you've moved off Fitbit, you can optionally connect your Google account so it brings your Fitbit history across from Google Health. You can change either one any time: Apple Health in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and the Google connection inside MyOffsider or in your Google Account settings.
- Why is MyOffsider showing sample data?
- If MyOffsider can't read live data yet, it shows example numbers so the screens still make sense, with a "Sample data" note. Once a source is connected and has data to share, your real numbers replace the sample.
- Which devices and services does MyOffsider support?
- MyOffsider is an iPhone app. It reads whatever is in Apple Health, whether that comes from an Apple Watch or another source, and it can also connect to your Google account to bring in your Fitbit data from Google Health.
- How do I delete my data?
- The data MyOffsider holds stays on your device, so deleting the app removes it. You can also turn off Apple Health access in iOS Settings, and disconnect the Google and Fitbit connection in the app or revoke it in your Google Account, at any time.
